I have heard and read a lot about the beautiful countries in the world. However, the country I would like to visit is Great Britain. My choice is based on the following reasons. The first reason I became interested in this country was because my father worked in the UK. Another reason is my school years as English was one of the subjects studied at school. My best friend is Rashini. Our school is St. Mary's college Mathugama. He became my best friend since the 7th year. I think a best friend is a person who never leads us astray. I am in Manikonda. My village is located in the Kalutara district of the Western province. My village is very beautiful with natural beauty. There is a big paddy field below my house. A river flows by the paddy field. My sister and I used to fly kites in those fields. And there is a beautiful mountain range. There is a school, a temple and a divisional hospital in our village. Although I live in Colombo now, I prefer to live in my village. Our village full of greenery is like heaven to me. I love the cold wind coming from that environment. I have no words to describe the beauty of the village during new year. That time is a refreshing time for the whole environment. My village is my favorite place to spend my life. 

  My grandmother is the best relative I have met in my life. She is like my mother to me. And she is the strongest woman I have ever seen. Since my mother was working, my grandmother took care of me from my childhood. It does any work very happily. I like that quality oh her very much. We all have good times and bad times. At that time my grandmother was a great strength for our family. But now, even though we had a good time, grandma is not with us. Very sad about that. She would be very happy if grandma was with us at this time. Grandma loves being with her granddaughters and grandsons. I have the best childhood memories.   My school days were the best I have ever experienced. My school is St Mary's college. I studied from first year to thirteenth year in this school. So, I think that's why I enjoyed that time. Also, when I remember the time I spent together with the western band, I feel happy and sad. During sports meet, we went to the field all day to practice for drill shows, but those days were bitter, but the memories are beautiful today.   I think dreams are how we want to live our lives. My biggest dream is to become a music lecturer. I am doing my best for it. My biggest dream is to become a music lecturer, then go to England to study opera, and become an opera singer. It is my career dream. Taking good care of my partner is another dream of my dream list. I was separated from my family members for the first time after starting university life. At that time, I felt very sad and lonely without them. A year after I got selected to visual and performing arts university, my sister got selected to Sri Jayewardenepura university in commerce. Those days were special days for our family. We are always happy. I wish we can live happily like this. I love my family very much.

  I'm Ushani Kavindya. I was born on the 1st of June 2002. Which means I am 21 years old now. I live in Mathugama. I studied at St' Mary's college at Mathugama. I appeared for A-Level in Arts stream. After that I was able to join a government university. I had already chosen music for higher education. So that now Iam a first-year student of the university of the Visual and performing arts. I love exploring the world around me and learning new things every day. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, making beautiful memories together. I love reading books and discovering new stories that take me on exciting adventures. My strength is I am a positive thinking person and hard-working person. And my weaknesses are I am always quick to trust people and emotional. My ambition and long-term goals in life to take up career in music lecturer. I believe in the power of dreams and working hard to make them come true.

 My mother is my world. My mother is Mrs. Thanuja Thushari. She is a Nurse. She is very beautiful. My mother works very hard for us. She works for us day and night.
