My village


I am in Manikonda. My village is located in the Kalutara district of the Western province. My village is very beautiful with natural beauty. There is a big paddy field below my house. A river flows by the paddy field. My sister and I used to fly kites in those fields. And there is a beautiful mountain range. There is a school, a temple and a divisional hospital in our village. Although I live in Colombo now, I prefer to live in my village. Our village full of greenery is like heaven to me. I love the cold wind coming from that environment. I have no words to describe the beauty of the village during new year. That time is a refreshing time for the whole environment. My village is my favorite place to spend my life.
